Chapter 9 : Handful of puzzles

You were left unnerved, walking through the snowy road, seeing the brother's attempts on overriding you with puzzles. And it was unclear if he is really trying to capture you at this point, at least, in your view. You still kept walking until you saw a table at the side of the road, with a microwave next to it. You decide to examine the table… and at the top of the table, there was a plate of…. spaghetti? And there is a note next to it too. It says, "HUMAN! ALLOW ME TO SERVE YOU SOME SPAGHETTI!" "LITTLE DO YOU KNOW, IT IS A TRAP!

YOU WILL BE SO BUSY EATING IT, YOU WON'T REALISE YOU AREN'T PROGRESSING!" "TRULY BAMBOOZLED,

NYEH HEH HEH! - PAPYRUS"

The spaghetti is frozen, stuck to the plate. Thats a shame, you can't eat it, well, you have to progress now, right? The microwave is the next thing to look at,

huh, what do you know, the settings - all the settings say - "Spaghetti"... you don't have much of an appetite right now either. You stroll forward into the distance.

Currently what is left in your view, there is a puzzle, laid down on the ground. And spikes are there forward, blocking your way and, on the opposite side, you see Papyrus, as it seems that he may be waiting for something, or someone. He didn't notice you at first, until you head forward. "AH HUMAN!" Papyrus turned to you. " YOU HAVE TO SOLVE THIS PUZZLE, BUT FIRST," He paused. "IS THERE ANY LEFT FOR ME?" You froze in place, remembering the spaghetti in the previous room. "Well uhh.." you stutter, you can't lie to him, right? You inhaled, "I left it.. but that doesn't mean I-" Papyrus gasped. "YOU LEFT IT, JUST SO YOU CAN SHARE IT WITH ME?" His eyes sparkled with excitement. "WOWIE, NOONE HAS EVER ASKED SUCH A SINCERE REQUEST FOR ME! HUMAN, DON'T WORRY, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL COOK YOU ALL THE SPAGHETTI YOU WANT!" He stated.

"DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK ME,

HAVE FUN WITH THIS PUZZLE! NYEH HEH HEH!"

As he walked proudly into the distance. The puzzle does seem to look easy though. It looks like an X and O puzzle. You have to turn all the Xs into an O, and press the switch. If you step on an X, it turns into an O, however, if you step on an O, it turns into a triangle. Your main goal is to turn the Xs to an O, so you have to avoid stepping on the Os, because that will result in it turning into a triangle.

"Hmm, there are only a few Xs so I can just walk through it, in a straight line.. "

*Step, step, step.. "Then, I have to press the switch" *Click!* The spikes lowered, clearing the path, revealing a turning path.

Suddenly- a dog jumped at you! It's a lesser dog!

"Lets see, what are the options," *Act,

"Wait, what the- All the options are,

*Pet *Pet

*Pet *Pet [What, I can only pet the dog? Hmm the options are quite funny]

*Pet *Pet

You pet the lesser dog, the lesser dog is satisfied!

"Bark, bark" the dog panted. Lesser dog is contented. You spare the dog. And you won, and earned 0 exp and 13 gold.

[I don't understand this, I don't get any exp?]

["We don't want to hurt anyone, do we?" I'd reflect on what Toriel said. ]

[ *Sigh I guess I will let this run slide. But in the next run...]
