Soul Spite
Chapter one
"Hmm…," said Katy-Ann Rennon to herself as she lay in bed, staring at the glow in the dark stars on her bedroom ceiling. The walls were painted a deep blue,Katy-Ann's favourite colour. She brushed her light brown hair off her face. Katy-Ann was a 12 year old girl with short, pale, mousy brown hair and a slim figure. She was usually fearless and laughed at those who she thought were "scaredy-rats".
Tonight, in her bedroom, she was thinking out a daring plan, listening for her parents, when they went to bed. A few minutes later she heard them, then waited a half hour till she thought her mom and dad= Katy-Ann) were asleep. Then, Katy-Ann slipped quietly out of bed and changed into her day clothes. She grabbed her Ariel torch and snuck out of her room. Silently, she creeped down the stairs and went out the front door, she was off to the Deathly Hallow.
Chapter two
The Deathly Hallow was the name Katy-Ann's neighbours had given to an old, dark, empty house surrounded by a thin mist. The people of Katy-Ann's neighbourhood; Pitchfork Pines, believed the Deathly Hallow to be haunted. Some said,
there were ghosts in the old house, others said to have heard howling and wailing from the Deathly Hallow.
Katy-Ann chuckled to herself as she remembered her neighbours warning as to never go to the Deathly Hallow. Her next door neighbour, Mrs.Hubble had said"Never visit the Deathly Hallow, young woman, for those who enter the Deathly Hallow, never return". Katy-Ann remembered this very well but she didn't believe it, she didn't believe in any kind of legends or superstitions.
Chapter three
Katy-Ann moved down the road silently, on her way to the Deathly Hallow. She pulled her coat closer should herself. It was a cold, gloomy night. "Just the night for a n adventure," thought Katy-Ann. She looked up, she had reached the Deathly Hallow.
Katy-Ann went slowly up the steps to the house, at the top, she stopped and looked around, the lawn was uncut and in bad condition. The trees were black and leafless. Katy-Ann shivered, it was colder here, but she was determined to stay and find out what was behind her neighbour's strange, frightening tales. Katy-Ann took a deep breath, opened the rickety old door, and stepped inside the Deathly Hallow.
Chapter four
Katy-Ann was in an untidy, dusty living room. The fireplace was falling apart and dust covered every inch of the room. The cushions on the sofa were moth-eaten. There were a few old books on a shelf, they were falling apart. Katy-Ann touched one, it crumpled to dust. She went to look at the other rooms. They looked the same, moth-eaten, dust covered and old. The floorboards creaked with every step that Katy-Ann took. She laughed. "There's no ghost here, what a bunch of chicken, old doesn't equal haunted," she said to herself.
She took a step forward, toward an old, grandfather clock.Suddenly, she felt a hand tightly gripping her shoulder and jumped. She turned around and screamed. It was a pale blue man.
He was floating a few inches from the ground. He stared at Katy-Ann with light, gray eyes that seemed to glow. He wore a clothe wrapped round himself and a hood at the top and fat flip-flops on his feet(all pale blue like himself). "You have invade our territory, you will pay!!!," cried the hooded man in a rasping, growling voice."Wh-what?!," cried Katy-Ann, "What do you mean, let me go!". She struggled to escape, but the hooded man was firmly holding her in an iron grip.
Chapter five
"YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE, YOU HAVE INVADED OUR TERRITORY AND YOU WILL PAY!!!," thundered the hooded man. "Huh?!, LET ME GOOO!!!," screamed Katy-Ann. She usually never got frightened, but now, though, due to the sudden appearance of the pale blue, hooded man, she was very scared indeed.
The hooded man dragged Katy-Ann up a staircase and took her down a long, narrow hallway. Katy-Ann, screaming the whole time. When they reached the end of thehallway, the hooded man tapped a rhythm on the wall.Tap-Tap-Tap-Tippy-Top! The wall slid back, revealing a dark corridor. The hooded man went down it, dragging Katy-Ann with him. Tears were streaming down Katy-Ann's face but the hooded man did not appear to notice.
The corridor ended and opened into a small, dark, bare, windowless room. The only thing in it was a U-shaped table with a few candles on top. Seated around the table were four men and women, pale blue, like the hooded man who brought Katy-Ann to the room. One of them raised his eyebrows and said, "Who have we here, Guvnor.?""A despicable, young, human girl," replied Guvnor. "She entered the Deathly Hallow without our permission, I say she must be punished, all in favour?," the Guvnor asked. All the blue men and women's hands went up. Katy-Ann trembled. "How are you going to punish me?," she asked between tears. "We shall give you a very harsh punishment, VERY harsh indeed," said a woman evilly, rubbing her hands together in glee.
Chapter six
The pale blue people took their time deciding Katy-Ann's punishment, enjoying the fact that she was on tenterhooks. After a long while, a man announced, "Let us discuss!, and all the pale blue began to discuss Katy-Ann's punishment in hushed whispers, occasionally looking up at the crying Katy-Ann. At last, they decided." We have decided that you are to be trapped in the doom bubble for many years, then you are to be finished off and you will become one of us!,"cried Guvnor.
"Nooo!," screamed Katy-Ann, once more trying to escape, but Guvnor was still holding her. "We are soul's, we are dead, but we are trapped here, in the Deathly Hallow, we cannot escape, we do not think it is fair, that is why, whoever human enters the Deathly Hallow, shall never come out again," said one woman softly, "It is what happened to me, now it will happen to you." Katy-Ann wished she had listened to her neighbours, she wished she had listened to Mrs.Hubble, she wished she had never came to the Deathly Hallow, but now it was too late, too late to listen to advice, too late to be safe, she was going to die. Tears streaked down Katy-Ann's face. The soul's agreed chanting. Tilakuilaaliaquitee!
Suddenly, Katy-Ann found herself floating, surrounded by a green bubble, the doom bubble. She screamed, she pounced on the walls of the bubble, but it was no use, she was trapped. The soul's grinned at one another and ignored Katy-Ann. Poor Katy-Ann.
Chapter seven
It was seventy years after the capture of Katy-Ann. The day after she had gone to the Deathly Hallow, her parents had been worried to find Katy-Ann gone. They called their friends and the police. They all sear he'd and searched, but they couldn't find Katy-Ann. Unsurprisingly, nobody checked the Deathly Hallow, they were all too frightened, even the police. After months of searching, they had given up looking for Katy-Ann and had reluctantly de idea that she had died.
Meanwhile, Katy-Ann had given up trying to escape, the soul's were too powerful, she couldn't escape, so she was awaiting her fate fearfully. Over the years Katy-Ann hadn't died, the soul's had told her that she wouldn't, because of their power. She grew, though and she looked older. Her clothes were stretched and torn, her hair and nails were grey and uncut and she had wrinkles all over her face.
One day, Katy-Ann's bubble popped open, but she still couldn't escape, she was stuck in her place. "It is time for your doom," said Guvnor, he cried out, "Hunkihuy!" the ceiling slid open, and a large, spiked roller lowered down on to the stuck, floating Katy-Ann, She moaned, she was about to die. The roller touched Katy-Ann and powerfully crushed her down. All that was left of Katy-Ann was a hump of skin, bone and blood. It was a disgusting sight. In a minute, Katy-Ann appeared. The soul Katy-Ann. "You are now one of us, you will help us in our doings," said a woman. The pale blue, soul Katy-Ann nodded. From that moment on, she was one of the trapped souls of the Deathly Hallow. She now helps the evil souls and helps them to finish off anyone who enters the Deathly Hallow.
